Boeing Expects to Begin Deliveries of Enhanced 787 Dreamliners in First Half of 2026
Boeing has updated the delivery schedule for its 787 Dreamliners with enhanced features, targeting the first half of 2026. The company aims to increase delivery rates by strengthening quality controls in the production process, particularly completing technical improvements at fuselage join points. These enhancements are expected to improve the aircraft’s range and cargo capacity.
The production line in South Carolina will play a central role in this process, with all 787 engineering work consolidated at the facility. Boeing emphasized that these upgraded aircraft will offer airlines more efficient operations and, with the start of deliveries, strengthen its position in the global widebody aircraft market. The company is also continuing to tighten technical inspections to stabilize production quality and fully meet regulatory expectations.
